The gallery was founded in 1992 by Bertrand Gautier and Bertrand Talabardon, acknowledged specialists of the nineteenth century. Their interest in the period is not exclusive and some significant discoveries, especially masterpieces of Caspar David Friedrich and Rembrandt, has earned them a reputation for their good eye. The two partners are founder members of the Salon du dessin, of Paris Tableau and of Fine Arts Paris, they likewise exhibit at TEFAF in Maastricht.
