Galerie Cahn

Gallery Cahn was founded in 1999 and continues a proud family tradition initiated in 1863. It specialises in Ancient Greek and Roman art with a particular emphasis on sculpture and Greek vases. Jean-David Cahn, who studied classical archaeology in Basel and Oxford, is assisted by an expert team of archaeologists dedicated to the careful study of ancient artefacts and provenance research.

The gallery organizes each year a variety of thematic exhibitions on its premises and is involved in projects aimed at promoting the interaction between archaeology and contemporary creation. It participates also in annual international art fairs, including TEFAF Maastricht, Highlights in Munich, The Treasure House in London…

Gallery Cahn produces a quarterly publication about ancient artworks and relevant discussions, with contributions from numerous scholars, field archaeologists, and policy makers, and it supports and participates in international seminars on archaeology and antiquity.
