In commemoration of the fiftieth anniversary of Pablo Picasso’s passing, the exhibition “Picasso. Drawing to Infinity,” organized by the Centre Pompidou in collaboration with the Musée national Picasso – Paris, sheds light on the most prolific aspect of his artistic career through the presentation of nearly a thousand works, including notebooks, drawings, and engravings.

From his early studies to his final works, drawing was a realm of ceaselessly renewed invention for Picasso. This exploration of his graphic work, akin to a compulsively kept personal journal, with the notebooks as its most precious examples, offers an immersive journey into the heart of the artist’s craft.

The proposed exhibition layout, intentionally non-linear and transcending strict chronology, fosters connections between different periods and places renowned masterpieces side by side with drawings being exhibited for the first time.

As the largest retrospective ever organized of his drawn and engraved work, “Picasso. Drawing to Infinity” plunges visitors into the whirlwind of Picasso’s creative process.
