The Living Forms exhibition  highlights the links between the mineral world, which comes from the earth, and the living world, the organic, animal and vegetable world.

With nearly 350 works, from Renaissance ceramics to the present day, set against paintings, pieces of silverware or scientific objects with which they are placed in perspective, the exhibition questions our own relationship with living things.

We thus (re)discover a medium that is resolutely anchored in its time and that inspires, today more than ever, contemporary artists such as Giuseppe Penone, Johan Creten or Nadège Mouyssinat.

Designed by the Musée National Adrien Dubouché in Limoges in 2019, the exhibition will be given a new lease of life as it continues to move to the Musée de Sèvres.
